  • care about well being of people( lim Kim san voluntarily chaired hdb for 4 years without salary and helped to build houses for many sgporeans >responsibility

>moral courage to do what is right

-ensure country’s stability and progress( be honest and capable)

.anticipate and stay relevant

  • forward looking and take sound actions early (minimise threats and maximise opportunities)

  • Eg. Rising sea levels ( taking early and vital actions by having a Long term solution for this long term problem)

.stake for  everyone, opporutinities for all

  • give citizens a say in decision making

->sense of beloning, being part of country

->everyone is able to share their views on policies and decision making

  • everyone more encouraged to works toward the good in the society

  • EG. The partnership with gov to shape and act on their future in areas they care about

practise meritocracy- people get success or power because of abilities and not because of money ( opportunities and -rewards are distributed according to merit)

-Meaured factor:effort put in

-Ignored: race, religion, family background

-RESULT : encouraged to work harder

-eg. Edusave character awards, Edusave scholarships

( awards offered based on leadership, character and conduct)
