Qué is used to give a definition, a profession, or a nationality
Always used when followed by and adjective, a noun, or a verb other than Ser
Cuál is used to give specific information or a selection from a number of possibilities; (can be translated to “which?”)
Used when the verb Ser follows it, but only when it is saying “out of a specific amount” of something
To give a persons profession, do NOT include an article (un, una, unos, unas)
Lily es médica.
When referring to a description of the persons profession or quality of their profession, use an article
Lily es una médica excellente.
