    • December - Von Papen dismissed as Chancellor, replaced by Schleicher

  • 1933

    • January - Schleicher dismissed due to lack of support

      • January 30, 1933 - Hitler appointed as chancellor in a coalition government, Von Papen as vice-chancellor

    • February - Reichstag fire

    • March - Reichstag elections

      • Nazis secure 43.9% of the vote

      • Enabling Act passed (legal revolution)

  • 1934

    • July - Death of Hindenburg

      • Hitler merges post of chancellor and president to become Fuhrer
