Reflexive and Nonreflexive
1. Reflexive verbs:
A reflexive verb is one where the subject does the action to itself. In English, we usually use reflexive pronouns like myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves.
Example: She washed herself. (She did the washing to herself.)
2. Non-reflexive verbs:
A non-reflexive verb is one where the subject does the action to someone or something else, not to itself.
Example: She washed the car. (She did the washing, but the car is the object, not herself.)
