Chemistry is the study of matter.  We will spend an entire year learning our way around the periodic table.  Some of the concepts you have been taught in previous science courses will be assessed when you get back to school.  The topics that you will need to review are:

Assignment #1:

Watch the videos and read the text from the link above.  Write one HANDWRITTEN page of notes over each topic.  You will be able to use these handwritten notes on your first exam over classification of matter.  

Assignment #2:

Memorize the elements and polyatomics ions listed in the memory block document.
