  • Team - Group of individuals w/ complementary skills working together to achieve a certain goal..
  • Group - A collection of people working separately to meet/complete common task
  • TEAM Characteristics - Sharing accountability, work interdependently, Stability, working socially, and sharing decision making power
  • Multiple organizations say teamwork increased productivity & decreased error.
  • TEAM TYPES -> Manager led - Manager is in charge of goals, task distribution, & overall team performance.
  • Self-managed Autonomy on how fask are completed
  • Cross functional teams - Members have different expertise a work together. Cuts across functional areas" (Marketing, Accounting, Asset Management)
  • Virtual TEAM - All members may not work in the same location but work from wherever for goal
  • Effective TEAMWORK - Interdependency, Trust, Encouragement, Enjoyment/ fulfillment, Rotation of Leadership.
  • AGroup Cohesiveness ~ Attraction people have Howards team. More or less the will to stay a work on team
  • Size: People tend to shy away from large teams.
  • Similarity between teamates. Success, Exclusiveness, Competition
  • Groupthink - Conforming to group pressure w/making decisions ( Not seeing through other POVs)
