  • Three Questions:

    • Should the United States even have a Presidency? They feared that any President would eventually become a King. They decided on specific requirements for the office and decided to allow the country to survive, or perish, on the character of the people themselves

    • What should be the length of someone winning the Presidency? How long should they serve? It was decided that a President would win his position for a period of four years. The Founding Fathers did not put a restriction on how many times someone could run and win. It was not until the 22 Amendment that a restriction was placed.
