Min, Q1, Q2, Q3, max = five number summary

Interquartile range (iqr) = Q3 - Q1

Regular boxplots do not show outliers

Lower cutoff = Q1 - 1.5(IQR)

Upper cutoff = Q3 + 1.5(IQR)

Any values beyond cutoffs are outliers

Modified boxplot = boxplot - outliers (max and min are assigned to closest data points if originals are outliers)
