EMAIL WRITING FORMAT

  • To- We start off by writing the email of the person/organization you are writing to.

  • Subject- Here we write the topic of the email. This part should not be more than 6 words.

  • Salutation- You should greet the person by writing ‘Dear Madam/Sir.’ Always use madam and not ma’am.

  • Body- You write the reason of you writing the email here.

  • Signature- You sign off by ‘Thanking you,’ on the next line ‘yours truly/sincerely’ and then your name on the next line

  • Example of an email writing-

WRITE AN EMAIL TO THE PRINCIPAL OF YOUR NEIGHBOURING SCHOOL ASKING THEM TO SEND HER HOCKEY TEAM FOR AN EVENT YOUR SCHOOL IS ORGANISING.

Dear Madam,

This is to inform you that my school is organizing a friendly hockey match to encourage this sport among youngsters.

Please note that the match will be held on 15th June 2022, at 10 a.m. in Billabong High International School grounds. The event will wind up by 12 noon tentatively.
