Accreditation and Program Effectiveness

  • Rad Tech Program Accreditation: The RAD Tech program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

  • Program Effectiveness Data: Available on the HACC website, includes information about graduates, board exam pass rates, and employment statistics.

Admission Requirements

  • GPA Requirement: Minimum program GPA of 2.5.

  • Taking Modules: Complete the "Take a Closer Look" module and post-test with a minimum score of 75% (three attempts allowed).

  • Developmental Classes: Must be finished by the end of the spring semester. Eligibility for MATH 103 and ENGL 101 required by the end of the fall semester to proceed to clinic in spring.

  • Application Deadline: Complete online application by May 1.

  • Good Standing Form: If transferred from another Health Careers major, obtain a good standing form from that program.

Program Structure and Curriculum

Clinical Requirements

  • Weekly Clinic Hours: Expected to spend a minimum of 24 hours per week in the clinic during clinical rotations.

Student Work and Commitments

Admission Point System

  • Point System Overview: Students ranked for admission based on points earned from grades in required courses (no Ds, Fs, or Ws), CLEP/AP exams, and modules.

CPR and Drug Screening

  • CPR Certification: Required course BLS for Healthcare provider through the American Heart Association, offered in July at Lancaster campus.

Dress Code and Uniforms
