• Trump was encouraging Mike Pence to preside over the Senate, he was largely unwilling

  • 5 people were killed including a Capitol Police Officer

• Congress had to go into lockdown

  • Congress reconvened the very next day

  • Certified Joe Biden’s win

  • Trump was charged with articles of impeachment for inciting an insurrection

  • 1500 people involved were pardoned by Trump, then released from prison or from other punishment
