Objective: Mitigate effects of sensory deprivation in patients.
Actions:
Turn and reposition patients every 2 hours to promote comfort and reduce anxiety.
Encourage open communication about feelings to enhance emotional well-being.
Sensory Overload
Objective: Provide a calming environment for patients experiencing sensory overload.
Actions:
Offer consistent and predictable stimuli to decrease confusion.
Reduce noise levels and draw curtains or blinds if sunlight is overwhelming.
Provide earplugs to help minimize auditory distractions.
