location- Where are things located on earth? What is the position?

absolute location- the exact location/point (home address or coordinates)

relative location- describing a location based of its respective area (my house is next to the blue one)

place- a description based on its physical/human characteristics

physical characteristics- earth made things such as mountains, rivers, lakes, climates, etc.

human characteristics- man made/invented things such as languages, highways, religious practices, holiday/traditions, etc.

movement- How do people, products, ideas, and information get from one place to another?

region- areas that are composed of places that have unifying characteristics; geographers look for similarities in climate, terrain, culture, political systems, etc.

human environment interaction- how the environment and people are connected; how do we interact/change the environment? how do we change/adapt to our environment?
