Lateral Reading - evaluating the credibility of a source by comparing it with other sources
feign - fake
She feigned an injury to lure him closer
prodigious - remarkably or impressively great in extent, size, or degree.
She was prodigious as a child
slander - false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.
Apollo attempted to slander Jacks, but Eva defended him
caveat - a warning or proviso of specific stipulations, conditions, or limitations.
She gave them a caveat before they entered the cave
Fortnight - two weeks
And for a fortnight, there, we were forever.
tyrannous - using power or authority in a cruel and unfair way
The reestablishment was tyrannous, having complete control of all their citizens
wanton - deliberate and unprovoked.

Soliloquy - an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers
