Globe

A Globe is a three demensional modle od earth that shows the size,shape and location of ll continents and oceans on earth.

Map

A map is a Representative of earth as a whole or a part of it, drawn on a flat surface.

Globe

Advantages

× a Globe shows the earth's continents and oceans most accurate

× a Globe is the most accurate three dimensional representation of earth

Disadvantages

× globes are small and can not show important details or features on earth

× globe are hard to cary around

Maps

Advantage

× a map can be easily caryed around , hence it can be rolled, it is applialy used by navigators and traveller’s

× maps show more details in small areas

Disadvantages

Maps are not accurate because it is hard to represent a curved surface on a flat surface .

Some areas in Maps have some decoder on the size, shape or distance

Importance of Maps

• Maps are used as a sourceof information for both teachers and students.

• Maps are very usefull for navigators and traveller's

• Maps are used by town planners for town planning
