The Death of Balder

A myth is a story made from pure imagination, made to explain how a certain event occurs.

Balder was beloved by all gods. When he began to dream of his own death, his mother Frigg traveled and made everything promise to never hurt him. Except for mistletoe. Loki tricked Hod, his blind brother, into throwing a mistletoe dart at Balder, killing him. The gods tried to bring Balder back, however Loki made sure he would stay in the Underworld forever.

Odin and Frigg had Balder, Hod and Hermod.

Odin is the father, Frigg is the mother.

Balder is with Nanna.

Hod is the blind brother.

Loki is extremely jealous of Balder.
