consumer rights act 2015 - designed to ensure that all products must be:
of satisfactory quality
in full working order
that they are fit for purpose
as described by the retailer
legislation applies to all products
allows consumers to have products repaired or replaced if they fail to meet criteria
sometimes consumer may ask for a refund
some of these rights also extend for the first 6 months of ownership
sale of goods 1979 - largely been replaced by 2015 act but still applies to products bought before 2015goods need to be as described, of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose
