- Each X.1 note will aid in this by contextualizing the events happening within the time period
- This is a very brief recount of what has occurred directly before the time period and what will affect the period
Native Societies
- Native American societies have been existing in degrees of peace or war all over the American continents
- The societies have regular contact with one another but none with people from the Eastern Hemisphere
- There are differing degrees of social organization, agricultural cultivation, architecture, etc.
- These groups are distinct based on their religions, regions, cultures, etc.
Europeans
- European forces are largely divided up into feudal kingdoms based on mercantilist values
- Each nation is competing with the others for the most wealth and power
- Most European nations are Christian, however there are a variety of denominations that set the nations or small groups apart
- A few nations have begun investing in naval expansion
