Upper- nasal drainage, low grade fever, sore, throat, earache, snoring, noisy respirations

Lower - cough, restless, distended neck veins, chest pain, anxious, cyanosis, dyspnea

Risk factors for respiratory issues: obesity, sedentary lifestyle, older adult stress, anxiety

Preventative: Vaccinations, rest/activity, smoking sensation, good nutrition, adequate fluid intake (2-3L/day )

Assess: Breath sounds, respiratory pattern, meds, fever, health history

Do: diagnostic testing, medication, chest, PT, suctioning

Teach: prevention, management, Medications

Bronco dilator, albuterol

Irritability and nervousness

Tachycardia

Insomnia

Anxiety

Prescribed to prevent and treat wheezing

Peak flow: Point of highest flow during forced expiration
