LHS Motto Evolution

  • Current Motto: "Keep It Real"
    • Previous Motto: "All In"
  • The motto aims to unify staff and students during the academic years:
    • 2022-2023: "All In"
    • 2025-2026: "Keep It Real"

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

  • Definition: A process through which individuals learn to recognize and manage emotions, set goals, show empathy for others, establish positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
  • Castle 5 Framework: Focuses on teaching SEL through five core competencies:
    • Self-awareness: Understanding one's emotions and values.
    • Self-management: Handling stress, controlling impulses, and motivating oneself.
    • Social awareness: Empathy and understanding social norms.
    • Relationship skills: Building and maintaining healthy relationships.
    • Responsible decision-making: Making ethical and constructive choices.

4 A's Wellness/Culture and Engagement Slogan

    • Focus Areas:

    • However, support specifically for Special Education has been reduced in the disciplines of science and history classes.

  • Definition: A framework designed to provide layered levels of support to students, ensuring their varying needs are met across academic, behavioral, and social domains.
