LHS Motto Evolution
- Current Motto: "Keep It Real"
- The motto aims to unify staff and students during the academic years:
- 2022-2023: "All In"
- 2025-2026: "Keep It Real"
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Definition: A process through which individuals learn to recognize and manage emotions, set goals, show empathy for others, establish positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
- Castle 5 Framework: Focuses on teaching SEL through five core competencies:
- Self-awareness: Understanding one's emotions and values.
- Self-management: Handling stress, controlling impulses, and motivating oneself.
- Social awareness: Empathy and understanding social norms.
- Relationship skills: Building and maintaining healthy relationships.
- Responsible decision-making: Making ethical and constructive choices.
4 A's Wellness/Culture and Engagement Slogan
- Slogan: "Achieve All A's"
- Focus Areas:
- Academics: Earn credits to graduate.
- Attitude: Maintain a positive outlook.
- Attendance: Show up consistently.
- Activities: Get involved in school activities.
- Altruism: Volunteer in the community.
Support for Special Education Students
- Note on academic support:
- Academic support is available for Special Education students.
- However, support specifically for Special Education has been reduced in the disciplines of science and history classes.

Early College Initiative

- Definition: A framework aimed at optimizing teaching to effectively instruct diverse learners.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Definition: A framework designed to provide layered levels of support to students, ensuring their varying needs are met across academic, behavioral, and social domains.
