Architecture Aspects

    • Necropolis: City of the Dead (cemetery)
    • cemetery formatted like a city having roads, open tombs, etc
  • many structures used: Tufa
  • Tufa: part of the limestone family, hardens when in contact w/ air, very soft before air, grey/green/brown

    • The dead were: always cremated
    • Used a lot of Tromp L’oiel
    • Tromp L’oiel: Objects that appear to be there but aren’t real, “to decieve the eye”
