Distance Time Graphs

Shows how the distance travelled by an object changes over time

Speed = distance / time

Flat line - the object is stationary

Upward sloping line - object is moving away from the starting point

Downward sloping line - object is moving back towards the starting point

Velocity Time Graphs

Shows the speed (and direction) of an object changes over time

Flat line - the object is moving at a constant speed

Upward sloping line - the object is acceleration

Downward sloping line - the object is decelerating

Line at zero - object is stationary

Force Time Graphs

Shows how the force applied to an object and how long that force is applied for

Flat line - a constant force is being applied to the object

Upward sloping line - the force is increasing over time

Downward sloping line - the force is decreasing over time

Line at zero - no force is being applied

Downward movements lower the center of mass
