  • Wearing Safety Glasses:

    • Use safety glasses provided by the hospital, which offer side protection.
    • Even if the healthcare worker has prescription glasses, hospital safety glasses should be worn for added protection.

  • Donning Gloves:

    • Double Gloving: When cytotoxic specific gloves are unavailable, wearing two pairs of gloves is necessary.
    • Ensuring Coverage:
    • Pull gloves up so there is no exposed skin between the gloves and the gown, maintaining full protective coverage.

  • Final Check:

    • Perform a final check to ensure that all PPE is secure and properly worn before entering the patient's room.
