Definition: States that the difference in velocities of the two objects is directly related to the difference in velocities before the collision

  • Describes how objects bounce off each other after a collision

  • It depends on what materials the colliding objects are made of. The more elastic the object in the collision, the closer to 1 the COR will be = and less energy will be lost in the collision
