ECGs

P wave = Atrial depolarisation
QRS complex = Ventricular depolarisation. Should be <0.120s (3 boxes).
PR interval = Time for impulse to travel from atria > ventricles. Should be 0.120 - 0.20s (3-5 boxes).
QT interval = All the electrical activity in 1 ventricular cycle. Should be 0.360s - 0.440s (9-11 boxes).
ST segment = Early ventricular repolarisation
T wave = Repolarisation of ventricles. First half = ^^absolute refractory period^^, second half = ^^relative refractory period^^.
J point = Where the QRS complex ends and the ST segment begins.

6 rules of ECG interpretation
- Rate: what is the rate? It should be between 60 - 100bpm
- Rhythm: what is the rhythm? The R waves should be equal distances apart.
- P wave: is there a clear P wave? Is it a normal shape?
- PR interval: is it between 0.120s - 0.20s?
- QRS duration: is it <0.120s?
- ST segment: is there any ST elevation/depression?
