Blessed are the poor in spirit
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
blessed are they who mourn
for they will be comforted
blessed are the meek
for they will inherit the land
blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness
for they will be satisfied
blessed are the Merciful
for they will be shown mercy
blessed are the clean of heart
for they will see God
blessed are the peacemakers
for they will be children of God
blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness

We should not hoard what we have been given as gifts. rather we should use our talents, intelligence, possessions, and the like to help others
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted
those who mourn are able to recognize those who are much worse off ( the poor, the abused, the hungry) their sorrow can move them to lend a helping hand to those who suffer
blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land
Meek describes people who are not self-centered or controlling. they respect others with the utmost respect, understanding, and compassion
blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied
a Christian's desire for high ideals and goals. the highest plateau of all is to desire Above All Else to put God's righteous will into action and then work unceasingly with his help to grow in holiness
blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown Mercy
As Jesus' followers, we must forgive others unconditionally, including our enemies. We should let go of grudges and show genuine compassion like Jesus did when he died on the cross.
blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God
Those who are clean of heart are single-hearted, undivided and they're loyal, without fakery or pretense. the clean of Heart knows what is important, closeness to the Lord who alone can satisfy their inner longingness for love
blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God
we are called to work to settle disputes, root out violence, forgive, and show compassion
blessed are the persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Standing up for what's right, even when it's hard, is standing with Jesus and helping him carry the cross. The cross is a symbol of victory and a life with our Savior, who promised us eternal happiness with the Trinity.
