Neuron
The neuron is the fundamental functional unit of the nervous tissue.
It is a cell within the nervous system responsible for transmitting and receiving electrical signals.
Nerve
A nerve consists of bundled axons located outside the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Nerves are part of the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS).
Tract
A tract consists of bundled axons located inside the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Ganglion
A ganglion is a cluster of neuron cell bodies located outside the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Ganglia are part of the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS).
Nuclei
Nuclei are groups of neuron cell bodies located inside the Central Nervous System (CNS).
