atrophy - noun any weakening or degeneration (especially through lack of use); a decrease in size of an organ caused by disease or disuse; verb undergo atrophy

bastion - noun projecting part of a rampart or other fortification; a stronghold into which people could go for shelter during a battle; a group that defends a principle

concord - noun agreement of opinions; the determination of grammatical inflection on the basis of word relations; a harmonious state of things in general and of their properties (as of colors and sounds);; arrange by concord or agreement; be in accord; be in agreement; go together

consummate - adj. having or revealing supreme mastery or skill; without qualification; used informally as (often pejorative) intensifiers; perfect and complete in every respect; having all necessary qualities; verb make perfect; bring to perfection; fulfill sexually

exigencies. Noun- an urgent need or demand.
