Quantitative Date

• Can be measured & expressed in numerical terms

• more specific

• Example - a map showing infant mortality rate per every 100 babies born in India.

Qualitative Data

• Descriptive & can’t be measured & expressed in numerical terms

• more general - usually expressed in words

• used to understand people’s perspective on things

• Example - A video of interviews with neighborhood residents about how they feel on the new law passed.
