- "At Cause" implies that an individual recognizes their role in creating their life situations.
Who is Driving the Bus?
- Analogy of life as a journey where the individual must recognize whether they are steering or being passively led.
- Importance of self-awareness in directing one’s life effectively.
Reasons VS Results

- Notion that it is more beneficial to focus on results rather than on rationalizations for failure.
The MAP is Not the Territory
- A foundational principle that suggests that our mental maps (or perceptions) do not equate to the actual reality.
- Recognition that the mind filters incoming information and that personal perception is subject to:
- Deletions – Ignoring certain information.
- Distortions – Altering the meaning or understanding of the information received.
- Generalizations – Applying a universal principle based on a singular experience.
- Understanding that sometimes our perceptions may reflect our projections rather than the objective reality.
Pay Attention!
- Critical reminder to be observant of one's surroundings and internal states.
- Noticing patterns enables one to assess whether they are achieving desired results and recognize areas to change behaviors and strategies if necessary.
