Transcription- Turn DNA into mRNA
Translation- Turn mRNA into Protien
\
DNA’s Role-
Depends on which type!
Carries copies of DNA instructions for making proteins from the nucleus to ribosomes in the cytoplans
\n
Makes up major part of ribosomes
Site of protein production
Works by reading (TRANSLATING) the mRNA code into a protein
Brings together mRNA and tRNA, linking amino acids together with a peptide bond
\n
Consists of two parts- amino acids and anticodon (3 unpaired bases)
transfer / carrier amino acids from the cytoplasm to the ribosome and matches them to coded mRNA messages.
