Physics: The Big 5 Equations
Vi - initial velocity
Vf - Final velocity
a - acceleration
t - change in time
d - displacement
Vf = Vi + at
d = (Vi+Vf)/2 * t
d = Vi * t + (1/2) at²
d = Vf * t - (1/2)at²
Vf² = Vi² + 2ad
These 5 equations relate the five kinematic variables (d, vi, vf, a, and t) to each other.
As soon as you know 3 kinematic quantities, you can always fine a fourth quantity using the appropriate BIG five!
