Is the time during which an offspring develops inside the womans womb.

It is divided into three stages known as trimesters

First trimester- conception to 12 weeks Second trimester- 12 to 24 weeks Third trimester- 24 to 40 weeks.

First stage- the baby will grow from a fertilized egg into a moving fetus with eyes,ears and working organs. Lasts until the cervical opening is as large as the head of the fetus. Usually lasts for 8 to 24 hours in the first pregnancy.

Second stage- baby features develops and you may be able to feel your baby move. The period of time when the cervix is fully dilated to when the baby is born. Longer and stronger contractions. Oxytocin hormone that helps with constructions of the uterus.

Third stage- muscles continue to contract to stop bleeding. After the birth of the baby, the uterus Gently contracts to loosen and push out the placenta. Baby will grow rapidly to get ready for birth
