The good news of Jesus, his life, death and resurrection

Euangelion – the evangel, the Good News that Christ the God-Man died to receive the punishment for our sins so that we could be reconciled through forgiveness and grace to God the Father and sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

2.             What are the 2 biblical-theological narratives for the gospel? + essentials

Personal Gospel on the Ground: God – Man – Christ – Response | God exists, holy, eternal, Sovereign, Creator, infinite; Man is fallen/sins, dependent, imago Dei, created, lost, condemned, finite; Christ is both the Son of God and God, Savior, died and resurrected, satisfies, loving; Response is faith/believe/trust, accept, repent, confess, adoption, share

Cosmic Gospel in the Air: Creation – Fall – Redemption (New Creation)– Restoration

Sin, Christ, forgiveness/eternal life

3.              What is salvation?

Salvation is the process of delivering sinners from spiritual blindness, sin, and condemnation; rescuing them from death; freeing them from Satan’s bondage, and giving them eternal life.
