  1. What is the color wheel?  a twelve hour color system which was developed by louis prancy 

  2. What are the primary colors? red, yellow, blue  Secondary? orange green, violet  Tertiary? red orange, red violet, blue  violet, yellow green, yellow orange 

  3. What are chromatic colors? visible from the spectrum and characterized by the presence of both hue and chromy all colors other than black, white and gray

  4. What are advancing colors? warm colors composed of red or yellow 

  5. What are receding colors? cool composed of blues and greens

  7. What are neutral colors? achromatic color to which a small amount of hue has been added colors other than black white and gray

  1. Choose a major holiday celebrated in the United States.  Brainstorm ideas for centerpieces using one of the color harmonies learned.  List flowers to use, colors, container, etc.  (4 points)
