This network connects devices in a limited area such as a home, school or office building.

It allows for fast communication and file sharing between devices

WAN - Wide

This network covers a large geographical area such as a city, country or even globally such as the internet

Its a network that covers an area larger than a LAN but smaller than a WAN. Its typically used for serving a city or a college campus

This is a small network that connects personal devices such as a phone, laptop or tablet within a short range
