  • Responsive Design: A web design approach allowing a website to automatically adapt its layout, images, and text to display correctly on different devices.

Typography

  • Definition: The appearance of text.

  • Best Practices: Use readable fonts that match content, stick to commonly-used system fonts, and limit the number of different font types.

Readability

  • Definition: How easy it is to engage with the website and understand its information.

  • Key Factors:

    • Logical layout with grouped related ideas.

    • Clear visual hierarchy and good typography.

    • Language level tailored to the target audience.

    • Clear and concise written content.

    • Backgrounds and colours that are easy on the eye.

Consistency

  • Look and Feel: Maintaining identical structure, colours, and overall theme throughout the website.

  • Design Standards: Applying the same basic layout and typography across all pages.
