  • Las pupusas: Tortilla filled with queso (cheese) and beans from El Salvador.

  • El arroz: Rice.

  • El sancocho: Colombian soup made of meat, vegetables, and condiments.

  • El café: Hot coffee from Colombia.

  • Las empanadas: Bread filled with savory or sweet stew, cooked or fried, from Argentina/Latin America.

  • La horchata: Sugary drink.

  • Las arepas: Type of cornbread from Colombia and Venezuela.

  • El ceviche: Seafood and lemon dish from Peru.

  • La pulpa: Pulp or flesh.
