authority protocoles are procedures that employees or managers in a business hierarchy have to follow when making a decision

reasons for authority protocols:

to minimise errors and mistakes

to uphold standards

to make sure deisions reflect coroparate identity

to avoid fraud

to protect sensitive data on employees and customers

organisational procedures to maintain confidentiaylity:

restric information access to only those who need to see it, dispose confidential information properly like shreddig, NDA

manual storage: a locable filing cabinet, a fire proof filing cabinet

electronic data storage: hard drives, smartphones

reasons why confidentiality may need to be breached: someone may suffer if you do not provide the information

voluntary constraints :are protocols that an organisation chose to put in place

copyright: must gain permission beofre using any third party material

consumer protection: marketing materials must be accure in terms of price and description etc

checking protocols are procedures that are in place to ensure documents or arrangements are accure, clear and contain all neccesary information

protection of information against unauthorised access: passwords, screen savrs, lcoked files, anit virus software

innappropriate use of IT equipment and software: prevent employees from using workplace computers for personal reasons

consequences of innapropriate use: lower productivity

contractual obligations as given in contract of employemnt : these are duties or promises that need to be fulfilled by the emplpoyer to the employee and other way around
