Instructions for Patients Assessment

  • Objective: Work in groups to determine vaccination needs for each patient.

  • Approach: Evaluate the patient’s history and vaccination records.

  • Patients to Evaluate:

    • Rachel (8-year-old girl)

    • Luke (14-year-old boy)

    • Jeff (43-year-old male)

    • Ginny (68-year-old female)

    • Steve (43-year-old pharmacist)

    • Riley (3-year-old patient)

    • Gavin (3-year-old patient)

  • Documentation: Use tables to track vaccination needs, doses, appropriate schedules, and reasons for vaccination refusal, if applicable.

Patient 1 - Rachel

  • Patient Profile: Healthy 8-year-old girl.

  • Vaccination History:

    • Received: Hepatitis B, Rotavirus, DTaP, Hib, PCV13, IPV, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A.

  • Recommendations:

    • Review CDC childhood vaccination schedule for updates:

      • List vaccines to administer or refuse.

Patient 2 - Luke
