    • Chesapeake region - tobacco

    • South Carolina - ndigo and rice

  • Slaveyr was practiced in all of the AMerican colonies

    • Concentrated in Southern plantations

    • African culture was more preseved in the South Colonies (Gullah Geechee)

    • 16-40s-1660s laws were created to codify slavery and to limit the rights of slaves (Ie Virginia Slave Codes)
