the IB is looking for 10 hours of experimental work in chem (as the whole 2 years) so its best to do an experiment.

tips:

• no more than 300 min collecting data (less than 5 hours includes pilot experiment)

• goo when your reseach question has 2 variables that are not discreet (continuous, specially independent variable)

never want your research question to be answer with one word or a yes or no. you want to discuss the relation of your variables which allows you to talk abt chem and lets you show your knowledge:
- what is the effect of X (independent, continious) on Y (dependent, continuos)
