Skill related fitness - components of physical fitness that contribute to the ability to successfully participate in sports
Flexibility - The ability to move your joints through full range of motion (everyday, 5-30 min, yoga pilates, martial arts, gymnastics)
Cardiovascular endurance - the ability of your body to gather, process, and develop oxygen and fuel during long periods of moderate/vigorous activity (3-5 days a week, 30 min) or Ability of the heart, blood vessels, and respiratory system to supply oxygen and fuel to muscles as work
Muscular Endurance - the ability of your muscles or a group of muscles to perform continuously without tiring (2-3 days a week, low weight, higher reps, 30 min)
Muscular Strength - the ability of your muscle or a group of muscles to apply maximum force (2-3 days a week, heavy weight, low rep, 30+ min)
Body composition - amount of fat, muscle, water and bone your body is made of
BMI - provides indication of the appropriateness of your weight to your height
Agility - ability to change body position and control movement of whole body (shuttle run, zigzag run, hexagonal jump)
Speed - ability to cover distances in short time (50 yard dash, 100 yard dash)
Reaction time - amount of time it takes to start a movement once you receive the signal to move (yardstick test)
coordination - combination of eye, hands, foot movement (dribbling, shooting basketball, place kick, punting football, dribbling soccer ball, juggling)
Power - the ability to perform with strength at a rapid test (vertical jump, standing long jump)
Balance - ability to stay upright while standing or moving (standing on one foot, balance board, balance beam, headstand, handstand)
Maximum Heart rate - the highest number of beats your heart can safely handle during physical activity. The max heart rate is based on your age as subtracted from 220
Target Heart rate - the level at which your heart is beating with moderate to high intensity. Ideal based on age, gender, and fitness level
Repetitions - the amount of times you do an exercise
Sets - several reps of a exercise in a row
One rep max - max amount of weight that a person can possibly lift for one rep
