- encompasses all people

- “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28: 19-20

the seven sacraments
- baptism: admission to the faith; mirrors Christ’s death & resurrection
- eucharist: memorial of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross
- confirmation: outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- reconciliation: healing of sin; reuniting of God and man
- marriage: unites in God’s love; mirrors Christ’s love for all people
- holy orders: sacred power to serve in the name of Christ as Apostles did
- anointing of the sick: unites suffering with Christ; strength and comfort
