System Software

Application Software

• Main control center of the computer

• Runs applications

• Provides user interface (GUI)

• Examples: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android

Utility Software

• Maintains and improves system performance

• Protects system

• Examples:

  • Antivirus

  • Disk Cleanup

  • Backup software
