Cirrhosis- a chronic disease of the liver that often from a long-standing alcohol addiction
• Inhibitory effect- a result of alcohol that causes the blocking of the center of the brain that controls a person's degree of self-control and shyness
• Alcoholism- habitual - compulsive, long term heavy drinking
• Tolerance level- a resistance in the body to something
• Withdrawal- a physical disturbance that results when an individual does not consume a substance they are addicted to
