Future tense

  • endings: -e, -ás, -a, -emos, -eís, -án

  • keep verb in the infinitive and add an ending

  • Stem changers:

    • caber (to fit): cabr-

    • poner (to put): pondr-

    • decir (to say): dir-

    • haber (to have, to be): habr-

    • salir (to leave, go out): saldr-

    • hacer ( to do, to make): har-

    • poder (to be able): podr-

    • tener (to have): tendr-

    • querer (to want, to love): querr-

    • valer(to be worth): valdr-

    • saber (to know): sabr-

    • venir (to come): vendr-

Conditional

  • add ending to infinitive form

  • endings: -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían

  • same stem changers as future tense

  • deber + infinitive = should “ “

  • used to mean would ____ or used in conversations to ask something politely

Positive commands

  • how to form: put the verb into present tense of tu form and dropping the -s

  • add an -n to put in plural form

  • Irregulars:

    • venir: ven

Negative commands

  • how to form: tu form, switch the ending to opposite vowel and keep the -s

  • spelling changes:

    examples:
