Imagery: Visually describing figurative language(usually makes the reader imagine what going on because they are given a clear picture through imagery)
Hyperbole: An exaggerated statement of something(eg: her smile was a mile wide, a mile would be a hyperbole)
Irony: whenever a person says something or does something that is different from what we expect them to say(eg: when it is a rainy day and someone says “Look at that nice weather outside”)
Tone: the general character or attitude of a place, piece of writing, situation, etc.
Inference: a conclusion reached based on evidence and reasoning.
Symbol: a sign, shape, or object that is used to represent something else. (eg: a red octagon is normally used as a stop sign)
