Epidemiology:

  • Study of the distribution and determinants of health-related states and events in specific populations

Toxicology:

  • Studies negative effects of substances on an organisms

Where exposure occurs:

  • Exposure to toxins is an environmental justice concern

  • Workplace, food, and agricultural exposure to toxins
