Components of Physical Fitness- Aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscle endurance, flexibility and body composition
Plyometric Exercise – A rapid powerful movement preceded by a preloading counter movement which creates a stretch shorten cycle of the muscle. Training goal geared towards explosive power.
Ergogenic Aids- Substances, devices, or practices that enhance an individual’s energy use, production or recovery.
Overload- is necessary in order to develop fitness in all exercise-related fitness components: cardiorespiratory (aerobic) endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. According to the principle of overload, a person must work (load) the body in a higher manner than normal.
Cardiovascular exercise- Exercise that noticeably increases your heart rate and breathing and involves the continuous rhythmic movement of your large muscle groups. Examples include: walking, jogging, biking, and swimming.
Anaerobic activity – is short-lasting, high-intensity activity, where your body’s demand for oxygen exceeds the oxygen supply available. Anaerobic exercise relies on energy sources that are stored in the muscles and, unlike aerobic exercise, is not dependent on oxygen from (breathing) the air.
Aerobic activity -exercise is any extended activity that makes you breathe hard while using the large muscle groups at a regular, even pace. Aerobic activities help make your heart stronger and more efficient.
Rotary Motion -rotary motion-the act of rotating as if on an axis; "the rotation of the dancer kept time with the music".
Leverage- the exertion of force by means of a lever or an object used in the manner of a lever.
